Senior Product Manager(Payment API)

Job Summary

Oval is building the most comprehensive gateway to alternative financial services for institutions and enterprises across Africa. Oval enables businesses in Africa to save in stable currencies, execute cross-border transactions, access credit, and invest. Oval’s easy to integrate APIs enable fintechs to provide their users with crypto-enabled products and services while abstracting away operational complexities. You will be responsible for building reliable and scalable payments infrastructure to enable trade across the continent, with a focus on our African market. We are looking for someone with experience launching and scaling payments methods and navigating the complexities of the evolving payments landscape in Nigeria and beyond. You will collaborate with highly talented Engineers, Product Designers and other Product Managers who have a track record of successfully building large-scale products that are adding value to millions of users around the world.

Job Details

· Own and lead all aspects of an established agile team, including backlog grooming, triage and prioritization, and cross-functional coordination.

· Create product roadmaps outlining key product goals and objectives with timelines.

· Conduct market research and create user stories for product evolution and service optimization.

· Collaborate and work with developers, Product Designers, as well as internal and external partners.

· Lead product growth and expansion, methodically by data-based decision processes.

· Talk to users and partners every day.

· Develop wireframes and user stories together with the Product Design team.

· Manage sprint-based product release cycles.

· A/B testing, user feedback analysis.

· Perform rigorous data analysis for rapid iteration.

· Track results with KPIs and measure product success and failures, objectively.

Requirements

 At least 3 years of proven software product management experience building and documenting Payment API.

· BSC degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration.

· Comfortable working with SQL or spreadsheets to analyze data as well as conducting research through various discussions with customers and teammates.

· Ability to creatively craft solutions through data and a customer-centric approach.

· Ability to build wireframes and mockups, with an aptitude for keeping things simple.

· Be meticulous and have a high bar for quality when writing user stories, reviewing designs, brainstorming technical approaches, and testing a feature before it is released.

· Be humble, willing to learn, and do whatever is needed to help us accomplish our goals.

· Outstanding written & verbal communication skills

· Huge documentation habit.

· Experience using agile development methodologies with globally distributed teams and the ability to keep up with a fast-paced and global company.

· Leadership skills and aspiration to grow in  an early stage start-up.
